Is this the green molecule to replace fossil fuels for transport and industry?

For a global update on green hydrogen adoption and progress to decarbonise cities, industry, and transportation, I had to go no further that Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

“Investing in Green Hydrogen 2022” was more than a talkfest when it opened in Singapore on 15 September.

Besides updated forecasts on when there would be enough green hydrogen – produced using electrolysers powered by renewables – to bring down the cost, we also heard of actual pilot production projects in Chile, Portugal, Sarawak (Malaysia) and South Australia.

Having the most prominent presence in Singapore was “the clean energy powerhouse” centred on Adelaide with the state government and private sector partners, like Santos, NEOEN, Australian Gas, H2U, Marubeni and Trafigura.
